Your identity verification guide

In Texas, every online notarization requires confirming who you are. Answer three questions and we'll recommend the most practical and secure way to do it.

2. Do you have a Social Security number (SSN) and U.S. credit history?

For example: a credit card, car loan, phone contract, or lease in your name.

What happens during verification?

  1. ID analysis

    The platform scans the front and back of your ID to confirm it's authentic and current.

  2. Identity questions (KBA)

    You answer timed multiple-choice questions about your history (addresses, loans, vehicles).

  3. Live video session

    The notary sees you, confirms you're signing willingly, and the session is recorded as required by law.

  4. Notarized document

    You sign electronically and receive your document with an electronic seal and certificate.

Protect your data

  • Never send photos of your ID over WhatsApp, email, or social media. Use only our portal or the official verification link.
  • Check that the link is from texasnotario.com or our verification provider before entering your details.
  • We will never ask for passwords, bank PINs, or your full card number by phone or message.
  • Be wary of anyone offering immigration or legal services as a “notario”: in the U.S. a notary public is not an attorney.
